Best things happen by accident.

Every night is a perfect night for a perfect night. If you know what I mean.

If you are not living in your hometown anymore, just like me, there is not many things better to do after evening workshift than having someone born in the city to give you a tour. In the middle of the night. Or at early morning when after hours of walking you still don't feel sleepy enough to go to bed and you just want to keep on going. Not thinking about the past, not thinking about the future. Just you, your mate and your legs.

Sit by the lake at midnight and stare into the nightsky. Look at the stars and try not to think that they're just huge flaming gas balls but something much more.

Go see the sunrise at 4 o'clock, watch the city from a completely different angle and walk to the first opening bakery to get fresh buns and feel the smell of still hot bread on the shelves.

Let yourself drown in the stories you hear about the places you visit, whether they're new or already spotted. Absorb as much as you can as, trust me, everything is important.

Take a walk to the furthest McDonald's just to have a cup of their delicious white coffee, trying to do your best effort not to buy anything sweet and tasty from the eating menu. Repress that need! I know it's hard - been there, done that. :P

Take the long way back home and enjoy every step, even though your legs are probably killing you right now. Laugh hard until you feel your muscles hurt. And smile. Smile as much as you can.

And be grateful. Be grateful for everything people give you. All the good and the shit, the messed up parts and the moments of pure joy and bliss.  Everyone has something unique to give to you, whether you want it or not. Take handful of every piece you can. Good can be bad and the other way around, it's only up to you what you do with it.

Thank you, S.R.

Breathe in. And breathe out.

There is a place here in Kato from which you can see people walk by just beneath your feet (if only you let them hang). You can sit there for hours and just observe them. Believe me or not, you would be able to count those who look up at you on the fingers of your hands.
That actually made me think... Why is it that people don't look up anymore?

We're so caught up in looking as straight as possible not to let our goals out of our sight for even a split second that we don't even remember why we're doing all this.
We long forgot what it feels like to hit our head into something solid just because we were admiring the beautiful sky above us.

There is something enigmatic in the evening sky. Actually there's something enigmatic in the sky at all times of day. But the evening sky is the one that makes you... think. There's something pristine and immaculate in that view, never mind if it's huge dark thunder clouds or delicate feathery dust on the blue background. It brings flashbacks of the passing day, brings back memories and rewinds the song you've been listening to all day.
But it's also a metaphor. A metaphor of every choice you make in your life. It reminds us that every minute our life changes, with or without our knowledge, and the decisions we make have a huge impact on it. It also reminds us that no matter how much we wish we can do nothing to make the clouds look like they did 2 minutes ago.

So just breathe in. And breathe out. And look up as often as possible. Never forget why you're doing all this. The clock is ticking. :)

Sunday, bloody Sunday...

It ain't easy being a cat on rainy day.

That could've easily been one of my cats.

I hate Sundays. I think it's with no doubt the least liked by me day of the week. Even Monday is better. At least it passes by faster that Sunday. To pile up the laziness of this wretched day, there's not many things in the world worse than rainy Sunday. On days like that the best thing to do is just follow your cat/s. What they'd do is just go to sleep, cause what else can you do?
And you're gonna use some sleep during the day anyway cause they're gonna wake you up with the ass crack the dawn. Thank you so much for that.

They say life gets better as you go along. That's one of the biggest pieces of bullshit I've heard in my life.

When a day like this ends if all you want is something different than lying under the covers or a blanket with a mug of hot chocolate or delicious tea then you're a fucking weirdo to me.

Bonne nuit!
